I rode the Macmillan Dynamic 100 on Sunday – 17th May 2015. I did the 100 km event. I was able to keep up with some riders but it was painful to note that I was completely rubbish on the hills – no matter how small!
Yet the ride was an adventure and I was able to do 42 mph on one slope! It was marvelous! Closest to flying I will ever get. What made the ride an adventure was the stolen sign at around the 10 mile point on the return. Many got lost, I found one such group and tag on to them.
Here is the link to my Strava page…
It was hard effort to keep up with them but they were nice chaps and we got talking. They didn’t drop me. So after a five or so mile loop, we found a sign somewhere around Henley and go back to the start point; hence the word adventure.
So I did 67 miles instead of 62 miles (normally these events the mileage is shorter than stated so I wouldn’t be surprise if I rode more). Time 4:50 hrs average speed 15 mph – my best time since the crash! Thanks Regie, Steve and the others of the group.
Here’s a short video of my ride:
