Cycle2Work Update

So its been a year, 2 months and some days. Rode right through the winter, spring and what summer is coming. I have lost almost 30kg! muscles all over the place. So far the I have had only two accidents with drivers and none fatal. I think the most interesting rides is along the Walsall canal, check out the narrow boat below:ImageI must say that Decathlon as made a very good bike of the Rockrider 8.0  I haven’t serviced it yet but will do so soon. Had some on going issues with the front mech and the chain falling off but a visit to the shop made it clear the chain and cables had stretched and need changing so that need to get done soon, A realignment fixed the problem in 30 minutes. Great bike!

Rockrider Kit

Now I have been looking around for kit to add to my new trusty steed. Bullet proof tires – the most honourable Schwalbe Marathon Kevlar MTB Tyre. Then theres the matter of the tool kit. I have a Decathlon multi tool 8-way, but its missing the spanners, chain tool and a few others. So the hunt for that perfect multi tool for a reasonable £25 – £30.  This is an on going tread on Bike Radar  (check it out).

What caught my interest today

Just heard that Nokia has dropped the Symbian OS for the Windows 7 Phone OS. Got that off the BBC Click show 13/02/2011. I say good riddance.

Got my daughter the Satio U1 some months ago and I can truly say the phone OS is rubbish! Well apart from its camera and mp3 capabilities. TNT reports that Sony Ericsson will be jumping ship to Android. I can’t see why Nokia and Sony Ericsson continued using their dead OSes so long.

I Am

Well great news I Am! So, lets see, brand new to this. This blog is all about me – yep me. Well my views, opinions, what I think ought to be – simple. I love technology, reading military fiction/non-fiction particularly science fiction stuff. So I will blog about that too. Love first person shooters (FPS) just about as close I will get to the action! So that’s of major interest too, along with strategy games too – the real-time strategy (RTS) version. Although I haven’t caught the bug with Starcraft 2 yet – it’s just to expensive don’t you think? and they are releasing to what amount to add-on packs for full price games, that’s just rubbish!

I have a love for modelling, specifically naval ships. Then there’s mini RC – you have got to love the utility of a 1:28th scale Miniz MR-02 or MR-03 authentic looking Aston Martin! It’s just soo cool and real looking.
